7. Security and location of the data centre
The main TLV servers are housed in the data centre at SiteGround in Amsterdam (EU), in the IBM cloud in Amsterdam (EU) and Frankfurt (EU). TLV has implemented various measures to ensure that your information is adequately protected against unauthorized access, use, transfer and deletion of data. Please keep in mind that the risk can never be definitively eliminated but can be mitigated and limited. All measures taken by TLV significantly reduce this risk. TLV will not be responsible for any third party, including yourself, in the case of unauthorized access, use and/or disclosure of information, provided it is not due to gross negligence, intentional misconduct, fraud or bad fait by TLV. TLV adopts the security levels required by the GDPR appropriate to the nature of the data that is being processed at all times. Notwithstanding the foregoing, technical security in a medium such as the Internet is not impregnable and there may be malicious actions by third parties, although TLV puts all the means at its disposal to avoid such actions. Safety measures adopted by TLV, among others, include:- Access to information stored on TLV servers is restricted to a limited number of TLV employees and third parties who may only access the information under very specific and limited circumstances, being subject to our strict confidentiality rules.
- TLV servers are protected by (1) firewalls that establish a barrier between our trusted and secure internal network and the Internet, and (2) IP restrictions, which limit access to an authorized list of IP addresses
- Each user can only access the information belonging to their TLV account.
- We use HTTPS in all TLV services, to ensure the secure transfer of data and prevent third-party listening and attacks.
